Details and Application form

Welcome to St. Margaretsbury Cricket Club, the Junior Introduction pack aims to provide you and your child with some information about our activities.

St. Margaretsbury Cricket Club provides opportunities for young people between the ages of 6 and 14 to receive coaching as part of our junior programme. Competitive cricket is provided by entering teams in Under 9’s, 11’s, 12’s, 13’s & 14’s Hertfordshire Junior League age groups’.

The Academy squad that was introduced in 2008 will continue to provide the progression through to senior cricket for those boys aged 15 and above. The Academy will play in friendly matches though out the summer and will fulfil the good, long standing fixtures that have been built up over the years.

The club also runs Mini`s Cricket for younger cricketers from the age of 6+ year olds. The mini’s sessions are a ‘stepping stone’ into junior cricket, including Skill development in Fielding, Batting and Bowling. The sessions are led by qualified, experienced coaches and uses safe, soft equipment to promote confidence and technique.

All coaching is delivered by qualified coaches, who liaise frequently with the age group team managers regarding the content of the programme.
